This Los Angeles Times article headline gave me immediate chills: "State of Panic Grips Northern California as Atmospheric Rivers of Moisture Approaches the Sierra Mountains.
Why the chills? Because the exact phrase "atmospheric rivers of moisture" was directly referenced in a Web Bot Project prediction...eight to ten years ago! I remembered the phrase vividly and when I saw the headline, I couldn't believe it! I don't have the exact report (lost when my computer crashed a few years back), but I do remember the phrasing!
The Web Bots predicted that vast amounts of moisture would be evaporated up into the atmosphere due to changes in climate and dumped back to Earth in biblical deluges! Those familiar with the Web Bot Project know that it has more misses than hits, but when it does hit, it nails it directly on the head, sometimes frighteningly so!
People in Northern California should already be well-prepared for the record-breaking rain and snow event (which will help the staggering drought, so it isn't all bad). The project has many scary (actually horrifying) predictions for 2016 and beyond, so a direct hit such as this will have many (including myself) on edge.
My opinion is that the project's long-term data (data from years out) picks up events more accurately than the short-term data. I believe the short-term data is more influenced by the hyperbole surrounding news coverage of specific events (Worst Catastrophe in a Billions Years, etc.) and the long-term data has more solid wording and information. (Just my opinion!)
The more far-removed the planet becomes from what was once a normal paradigm, the more unbalanced the world and people will become, which is, obviously, already manifesting on a daily basis.
