As anger, fear, mistrust and frustration begin to manifest across the country due to high inflation, fuel prices, government overreach into private lives, food shortages and shocking, deadly gun violence bringing international condemnation of the US, the stage is now set for waves of unrest. Police departments across the country have been discreetly advised to prepare for a veritable explosion in violence and unrest in the coming weeks.
A looming energy and diesel fuel crisis will only add to the problems. Major supply chain break-downs continue, with hospitals running out of essential protective items, medicines, and plastic tubing needed for catheters and intubation, as the Covid crisis continues and refuses to go away. Many hospitals are extremely low on contrasting fluid, the bulk produced in China, which is necessary for CT scans and MRIs, forcing some surgeries to be postponed. EMT drivers are reporting shortages of IV fluids and tubing, as well as warning parts necessary to keep ambulances on the road are also in short supply.
As I mentioned in a previous blog post, power companies are also warning of major blackouts across large areas of the United States and Canada this summer, due to swelling demand and decrease in energy production, as everyone's energy bills go through the roof. History has shown us blackouts during the heat of summer invariably lead to major civil and social unrest, especially in large cities.
All this, as the very real threat of nuclear war hovers over all of our heads. Russia continues its sabre-rattling, with continuous promises of nuclear retaliation against NATO and its allies. China is ramping up the threats, intimidation and rhetoric as well, promising to stop US influence in the Pacific region, carrying out major military war drills around Taiwan. Russian and Chinese nuclear bombers flew in unison last week as US President Biden visited Tokyo for the QUAD security meeting with India, Australia and Japan. These nuke bombers flew within one hundred kilometers of Japan, before violating Korean air space, forcing Korean jets to scramble to intercept. North Korea fired several ballistic missiles in a sad "Look at Me" attempt during Biden's visit as well, as the rogue nation faces a crippling Covid crisis and deadly famine. Intel suggests North Korea is also planning a nuclear detonation in the near future.
Of all the threats facing the world this very second, none are more terrifying than the rapidly approaching food crisis and famine. The world (currently in deep denial) is going to go into deep shock once the extent of this crisis becomes overwhelmingly apparent. This will create a mental health crisis that will sweep across the world. People will literally be shutting down, the "standing stasis drooling" warning from the Web Bot report well over a decade ago. If you think you've seen craziness, I can assure you haven't yet, but you will and very soon. As practically every major financial institution, charitable organization, government agency and world leader screams warnings about the famine and massive food shortages exacerbated by a climate crisis on the near horizon, you might want to listen and prepare in whatever way you can.
Does any of the above sound anything like "apocalyptic scenarios"?
