You don't know half the story, or even two percent of it.
If these are not the End of Days, they certainly are a convincing recreation of it...
A billion dollar think tank funded by Morgan Stanley and headed by a top biotech expert has just released their official report regarding the current Coronavirus Covid19 cataclysm and the news, to put it mildly, is not good.
The experts believe that we are only in Phase One of the outbreak, and there will be at the mininum two or three more waves of the virus coming, the Second Wave hitting sometime in late November/December, just in time to make the Holidays festive. (Gleaning from history, the Spanish Flu pandemic of 1918-19 had three successive waves, the second wave actually being the most deadly.)
In terms of when society and the [US] economy could be re-opened and out of lockdown, the report states this:
"The path to re-opening the economy is going to be long. It will require turning on and off various forms of social distancing and will only come to an end when vaccines are available, in the spring of 2021 at the earliest."
The sobering report goes on to say that while the peak of the virus in New York is probably 3 to 5 days away, much of the rest of the US is lagging several weeks behind in terms of infection rate, so the country can expect a month or longer watching the US death count climb higher and higher by the day. This would place re-opening the economy as a tentative measure in late May or early June... at the earliest. And even then, there..."will still be a large number of workers not able to go back to work until a vaccine is abundantly available as social distancing cannot be fully relaxed until we have herd immunity (~60% of people vaccinated). Furthermore, large venues such as sports stadiums, concert halls and theme parks are also likely to remain shut or have attendance capped at 10-25% of prior levels."
Yet another billion dollar think tank, the Guggenheim Foundation, released their report on the virus and its catastrophic effects on the global economy, summed up succinctly:

Add to this the troubling report from the Center for Disease Control that the coronavirus can live on surfaces of floors and walls and clothing items such as shoes for over a day and can be carried to other areas via the movement of people, upping the infection rate. Another troubling report out of South Korea has noted the "spontaneous" re-infection of the virus in patients who had previously been diagnosed as "recovered from the virus" and a report that some survivors are left with long-term organ damage and we have the makings of an on-going crisis that grows increasingly more terrifying by the second.

Where are the next Covid19 hotspots? The virus is currently emerging strong in Brazil, Mexico, Turkey, Indonesia and the Philippines, so these nations need to be monitored very closely. Most took lookdown measures early to prevent the spread, although the leaders of Brazil and Mexico were reluctant to shut down their economies, which could prove to exact a higher price to be paid in the long run. All of the world should be forced to see the misery Covid19 is creating in South America's Ecuador, which is dealing with an unimaginable catastrophe. Be warned, the video is extremely distressing:
