The "Millennial" Generation or Gen Z (those born in the late-90s, early 2000s) has been labeled as narcissistic, uncaring, self-centered, self-absorbed and coldly detached from society and reality with no emotional depth to deal with the problems of life. One Gen Z'er took self-absorption and entitlement to murderous new heights in Colorado for attempting to poison her very own mother on two separate occasions...for taking away her precious iPhone!
A twelve-year-old girl in Boulder, Colorado, has been detained and questioned by police for the alleged attempted murder of her mother. Police claim that the unidentified girl tried to give her mother a smoothie tainted with household bleach after she took away her daughter's iPhone privileges for misbehavior. The woman smelled the bleach in the glass given to her daughter, but initially assumed the girl had not thoroughly rinsed out the glass after washing the dishes.
A few days after becoming sick from the first poisoning, the woman once again smelled bleach coming from a beverage served to her by her daughter. When confronted, the girl admitted that she had planned to kill her mother for taking away her iPhone, an item no teen can apparently live without in today's distorted, fractured world. The mother reported her daughter to the police after going to the hospital to be treated for bleach poisoning.
The "Bad Seed" has been detained at the Boulder County Juvenile Center on two counts of attempted 1st degree murder. An investigation is on-going into the matter, and the authorities are taking the severity of the girl's actions very seriously. Parents should let this be a caveat for attempting to give their children everything in life without them earning it, and what the repercussions of taking it away are for today's Generation Z...
