Maybe they've seen Independence Day and 2012 a few times too many!
ISIS jihadists have publicly declared their intentions to blow up timeless landmarks beloved to the "West", including Big Ben in London, the Eiffel Tower in Paris and the White House in Washington, home to the American president.
Although hate-spewing mouth piece Abu Abdullah Britani and thousands of his followers have been banned from social media site Twitter, he was able to bypass the ban and return to make the chilling threats.
"Oh, Dogs of the #UK, a day will soon approach when you need the time but all you will see is horror on peoples [sic] faces and your #BigBen in dust," Britani posted on his Twitter feed yesterday, alluding to the clock tower of Big Ben located near London's famed Westminster Abbey and the Parliament Building in the very heart of the city. The tweet was immediately liked and re-tweeted before finally being removed.
Similar threats were issued against Paris, New York and Washington and a host of other cities in a chilling 30-minute audio recorded by an ISIS "spokesperson", for the lack of a better word. The threats come as the Islamic State has vowed allegiance with another group infamous for violence and terror in Nigeria, Boko Haram, which is believed responsible for a series of vicious kidnappings, brutal rapes and countless deaths across the African nation.
