What did you think was going to happen?
As people around the world grapple with the idea that the Coronavirus Covid19 catastrophe is actually going to be sticking around for about two years or [way] longer, they are also...slowly...realizing just what that means. It means that "Life" is not going to return to "Normal" any time soon. In fact, it is never returning to normal ever again, as in the life we all lead just a few short months ago will be all but a memory.

With each passing day, the veneer comes off the optimistic photograph that we will just be able to simply return to the way things were. As of now, every aspect of life has been altered in some way. As we venture further down the rabbit hole, the changes will become even more disturbing, as things you never thought you would witness in your lifetime come to awful fruition. Of course, the virus is only a small fraction of the horrors to come.
War and rumors of war. Plagues often bring about wars. It is easy enough to figure out why. With rhetoric and invective being spouted out by political leaders, these are verbal salvos preceding conflict. As resources become tapped, tensions will run high around the globe, creating a powder keg environment that can set off in a second's notice. I won't name the players in this high stakes, incendiary game of Risk, but we all know who they are, and their parts in the tragedy that is now playing out across the globe. Anger and resentment are running very high now, millions are demanding justice, which will soon grow to billions, wanting to place the blame on the catastrophe, demanding restitution. However, there is one thing that is always certain to set off panic, civil unrest and war: hunger...
The Warning Bells are clamoring loudly that the planet is facing a terrifying food shortage. These food shortages are being blamed on so-called panic buying by the media, but as I've stated before, economic data suggests otherwise. Crop yields are way down, farmers have been unable to plant as millions of tons of harvested fruits and vegetables have either rotted in the fields or been buried in enormous trenches with the breakdown in the supply chain. All of this had been predicted as the Earth enters a Solar Minimum period, which always brings with it societal disruption, famine, pestilence, wars and death. As the slim pickings in the stores continues on indefinitely, slowly but surely, everyone will realize that the situation is not going to go away. With this knowledge, and as endless lockdowns create desperation among large groups of people in society, civil and social unrest are only days or weeks away.
The United Nations have issued warnings of a coming famine of "Biblical Proportions" that is certain to sweep across parts of Africa, the Middle East and Asia. This famine will be brought about by a combination of climate change, the Coronavirus disaster as well as a plague of locusts over a trillion strong set to sweep across the region. The warnings state between five and ten million people could die over the course of the next year, possibly more...
Data suggests that as countries come out of lockdowns, second waves of the virus are certain to take place. Countries that went into lockdown early and have seen few deaths from the virus such as Australia and New Zealand will never be able to open their borders until a vaccine is discovered and even then not until at least 65% of the population has been vaccinated to create herd immunity. They will remain closed societies indefinitely, harming their economies. How many members of society will refuse to take the vaccine?
Now, the world looks to Brazil, South America's largest country, where the Coronavirus catclysm is set to devastate the nation. Virologists fear the death count in Brazil could be in the millions, and this will place the entire South American continent in grave jeopardy, collapsing the economies of not only Brazil, but every other neighboring country as well. Refugees fleeing the catastrophe will head northward, bringing the disease with them in a diaspora event. This will place great strain on both Mexico and the United States, and will create an unimaginable humanitarian crisis. It is predicted a Third Wave of the virus will perpetuate across the United States and Canada in late fall/early winter, ruining any hope of a Christmas retail rush to save the economy.
An unpredictable virus means an unpredictable life for all the citzens of this planet. Nothing, literally nothing is off the plate. Although it is difficult, we all have to expect the unexpected, but educate ourselves on what can happen during these unprecedented times. Be prepared to move on a moment's notice. Take a cue from those survivalists you used to mock so openly, the preppers who you once thought were out of their minds, the people who tried to blow the whistle on the coming Apocalypse, but you ignored because you thought them to be zealots. I recently joked that if a Godzilla attack warning was announced on all the news outlets, I would simply say "Hey there, Godzilla. I've been expecting you." It's a joke, but quite frankly, it isn't that far from the truth.
Listen to your instincts, don't listen to the news, as they aren't going to give you the full story. Don't wait to be spoon-fed your information, seek it out for yourself. Stay safe and vigilant.
